Creighton Park Updates
As of 12.08.25
The park has been redesigned to be more sensitive to neighbors to the north and west to minimize impacts to views and proximity.
-
There will be a meandering multi-use path that meanders from the northwest to the southeast corners of the lot.
-
A playground and gazebo are expected to be placed near the bottom of the hill on the east side.
-
The grass area was removed to reduce impact to the area.
-
Expect groundbreaking Fall of 2026!
-
Parks and Rec will be putting our park on their website at some point: https://www.cabq.gov/parksandrecreation/featured-projects.
We will be doing a survey to rename the park to better reflect our community and area. Does anyone know who Creighton is anyways?

Hello Neighbors,
Curbside Green Waste Collection is coming up soon! ️
Mark your calendars, from December 1–12, City of Albuquerque residents will have two opportunities to set out their green waste for curbside pickup. Now’s the time to get out in your yard, rake up those leaves, and gather your grass clippings, weeds, and branches.
You’ll have two collection chances during the first two weeks of December. ️ Be sure to follow the green waste guidelines below so your materials can be collected — and remember, green waste should never go in your recycling cart!
For full details on what’s accepted and how to prepare your waste, visit https://www.cabq.gov/solidwaste/green-waste

Green Waste Collection Event Tips
During collection events, please follow these guidelines:
-
Green Waste must be 5 feet away from trash/recycling containers.
-
Green Waste including leaves, grass, and brush must be placed in trash bags.
-
Trash bags must not weigh more than 40 lbs.
-
Cut branches to four-foot lengths and bundle them securely.
-
Dirt, debris, gravel, construction material or tree stumps will not be picked up.
-
Do not place green waste in your recycling cart.

Thank you to everyone who came out to the TRNA Flea Market, what a great turnout!
If you know someone who isn’t yet a member, encourage them to visit our website and join today. We can’t wait to see all our members at the December luncheon! And don’t forget to drive by Homestead and Taylor Ranch to see our beautiful new sign on our adopted median.
Nikkie Baum, TRNA President
